A breath of modern elegance, A Fresh Perspective transforms the timeless wedding aesthetic into something artful, intentional, and new. Set within the sophisticated spaces of Bacchus in downtown Milwaukee, this styled shoot is a study in balance. Intriguing lines meet lush texture, and soft, pastel tones contrast with darker accents. Designed to inspire couples who crave contemporary style without sacrificing romance, this styled shoot invites couples to see classic wedding style in a fresh light.
Along with coordination and design by Q Jancola, this wedding design at Bacchus was brought to life thanks to Ashton Gonnering Photography, Paul F. Gero Photography, Claire Neville Photography, Yer Flora, Hall Creative Co., Teak & Ivory Bridal, Event Essentials, Nuage Designs, Cordial Co., Adorn Event Company, Events by Manna, Social Brides Collective, and models Harrison and Twonya.

Hall Creative Co. provided an invitation suite and other printed pieces for the styled shoot, beginning with a horizontal, letter-sized invitation. The suite utilized an oversized, modern serif font with artful cropping, with details placed in the negative space. The invitation was completed by a light blue envelope, looking elegant against the geometric tiling on the venue floor.
The ceremony space featured elegant blue draping backdrops, cozy seating, and an asymmetrical ground floral arch. Yer Flora kept the florals lush, but clean, alternating large installments with bud vases and simple arrangements. The main florals included calla lilies, white gerbera daisies, white and green hydrangeas, and mossy greenery.
Teak & Ivory Bridal styled the grooms for the day, selecting coordinating, yet personal and unique pieces for each model. Harrison wore a blue velvet suit jacket, white pants, a white, pleated undershirt with black buttons, black shoes, and a black bowtie.
Twonya contrasted with a white suit jacket and navy pants, a white undershirt with black buttons, along with black shoes and a bowtie.
Nearby, the lounge, with rentals from Adorn Event Company, was stylish and modern. Standout furniture included fluted end tables and trays, wooden spindle end tables, botanical throw pillows, lamps, and three-legged velvet chairs.
The tablescape, set up in Bacchus's glass-enclosed Conservatory, was full of abundant light and luxurious details. The table was draped with blue linens from Nuage Designs, with a lighter color as the central linen and darker, artful pieces draping from either side. Event Essentials provided plating and crystal glassware for the design, including chargers, black plates, and silverware. Small lamps, artful shells, custom menus, and florals completed the tabletop décor.
Ashton Gonnering Photography moved effortlessly through every space, leaning into the artful theme by playing with angles, motion, and unexpected cropping. The final photo gallery was full of personality and charm, while ensuring every exquisite detail was captured.
A dessert setup from Events by Manna awaited on the outdoor patio. Here, the palette of light blue, green, white, and navy leaned into darker blues and purples, with a towering blackberry mound cake as the centerpiece. Other desserts included marshmallow cream cups, lady fingers, fresh blackberry and blueberry jams, and dark chocolate dipped sugar cookie and water cookies.
The couple raised a toast in coupe glasses provided by Cordial Co. before exploring additional outdoor and indoor spaces at Bacchus. The exceptional downtown Milwaukee restaurant not only boasts award-winning cuisine, but architectural backdrops suited for any taste. The styled shoot concluded with individual and couple portraits framed by warm chandeliers and wooden paneling, showcasing the building's rich history.
