Kelly & Trent's Carriage House wedding in Oconomowoc was the perfect mix of timeless elegance and heartfelt celebration, featuring classic black, white, & champagne tones, romantic florals, and sparkling cold sparks.

Kelly and Trent first met in 2017 while playing on the same co-ed softball team. They got to know each other better throughout the weekend, with Kelly describing Trent as "sweet, athletic, and cute." She made the first move by asking for Trent's number, who, as it turned out, was working up the nerve to ask for hers. Trent wasted no time continuing their conversation. As soon as Kelly left the softball field, he texted her, and the rest is history.

Five years later, Trent planned a proposal on the morning of Kelly's birthday. He suggested they take their one-year-old golden retriever puppy for a walk, leading the way through a beautiful walking trail, and up to a small balcony overlooking the Fox River. They found a photographer to capture the moment Trent dropped to one knee, and were able to fully embrace the moment between the two of them (plus puppy, Tucker, of course!). They later surprised friends and family, who had traveled for Kelly's birthday weekend.

When asked to describe their wedding style, the couple replied simply: timeless. They chose a classic and refined color palette of white, black, and champagne. Team Bride MKE styled Kelly and her bridesmaids with hair and makeup that enhanced their natural beauty, with Kelly's hair pulled back into a lightly textured updo.

Kelly wore a sparkling gown from Bucci's Bridal. The fit-and-flare dress featured a scoop-neck, lace corset belted at the waist, and flared just above the knee into a flowing train. Other details included thin straps and an open back, with a pearl-edge, fingertip-length veil completing the look. Her bridesmaids wore champagne-colored dresses, each with the same fabric, but in different styles for a mix of cohesion and personality.

The groom and his groomsmen wore matching suits from The Black Tux. The tuxedos were black with silky lapels that matched a side stripe on their dress pants. They also wore a black vest, a white undershirt, a black tie, and were accented with floral boutonnieres and black shoes with a small pop of color on the heels.

Located in scenic Oconomowoc, The Carriage House is a newly renovated venue featuring beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces just steps away from Lac La Belle. The couple tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony, framed by a hexagonal backdrop and the natural beauty of Wisconsin.

Just like with the color palette, Avant Garden Florist kept the bouquets and floral installations classic and elegant. The main blooms included white roses, chrysanthemums, white hydrangeas, baby's breath, eucalyptus leaves, and palm leaves.

Inside the venue, The Carriage House shone with minimal added decor. Round tables were decorated with black tablecloths, glassware, and reflective table numbers. The couple and their wedding party sat at a wooden head table beside soaring windows, featuring a neutral table runner accented with greenery. Other venue highlights included vaulted ceilings, abundant natural light, exposed wooden rafters, modern windows, and twinkling chandeliers.

Instead of a guest book, the couple opted for an audio guestbook, where friends and family recorded audio messages, which would later be turned into a keepsake.

Ally Corinne Photography captured the day in her signature style, from getting ready photos to the last dance. She preserved all of the details, while also sneaking the couple away for dreamy portraits by the water and romantic photos in the soft light of a cloudy evening.

The reception and celebration that followed were all about grand entrances and personalized lighting. When asked about her favorite detail of the night, Kelly wrote, "Cold Sparks!!! These were amazing and definitely were a crowd pleaser! Our reception was a party, which is exactly what we wanted!"

Kelly and Trent also celebrated their unity with a custom marquee lettering showcasing their now shared last name.

Reflecting on all the love and joy of their wedding day, the couple credits their planner, B-Rad & Celebrations, and their incredible vendor team for making their dream a reality. They were able to form great connections with everyone they worked with, which kept them comfortable and confident throughout the planning process.

For couples currently planning their big day, Kelly advises, "Don't stress about the little things. Everything will come together, and I encourage everyone to enjoy planning your special day with the love of your life!"
