Lights, fog, and a little bit of Broadway magic set the stage for this Wicked-inspired wedding editorial. Set in the historic Turner Hall Ballroom, this creative collaboration, led by OSO IN LOVE Wedding & Event Curators, pulled together bold fashion, layered lighting, scene-stealing décor, and soaring heights to reimagine a love story based on the beloved book, film, and musical. In addition to coordination and design by OSO IN LOVE Wedding & Event Curators, this stunning wedding inspiration was brought to life by Reminisce Photography, Boxcar Photography, Life, Like Camera, Flowers for Dreams, LK Bridal Studio, Miss Ruby Bridal, Melissa Ann Artistry + Co., Event Essentials, Cowboy David's Bakery, and The Rock Agency.
Boxcar Photography's videography beautifully captured the energy of this Wicked-ly fun wedding editorial, weaving together motion (hello, bubbles!), stunning details, and authentic moments between models. Continue below to view the editorial in photographs by Reminisce Photography.

For the stationery & signage pieces, LK Bridal Studio played with balancing whimsical, organic elements with structured Art Deco accents inspired by the architecture of the Emerald City. Their contour-cut invitation suite, menus, table numbers, name cards, drink menus, and welcome sign featured a refined palette of solid greens, pinks, and white. Intricate floral motifs were carried throughout the design, keeping the pieces cohesive throughout every space.
In addition to the paper pieces, LK Bridal Studio also provided custom acrylic stir sticks for the drink table.
Event Essentials helped bring every scene to life, from velvet pieces in the lounge to the gold, round ceremony arch and stylish tablescape décor. Florist, Flowers for Dreams, brought further charm with their aim to bring an organic, authentic perspective to the theme.
Model Julia defied gravity on Turner Halls Ballroom's stage for some incredible cinematic moments. Colorful lighting further set the tone for the design, while also honoring Wicked's Broadway legacy.
Turner Hall Ballroom boasts rustic, vaulted interiors, wooden floors, sound and lighting expertise, and plenty of charming backdrops. The venue was originally constructed in 1882, making it a beloved historic wedding and event venue in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
At the ceremony scene, Flowers for Dreams gathered branches, focused on sustainability, and sourced other local Midwest blooms. With a restrained color palette of green and pink, they experimented with tonal variation and subtle hues to create an innovative, distinct, and fairytale-worthy backdrop. They also crafted whimsical bouquets for each model.
Flowers for Dreams further brought their creative, environmentally friendly approach to the reception tables. Their unique centerpieces, inspired by the lead characters, reimagined everyday items into artistic, modern sculptures. Each towered in the center of their respective round table, set with glassware, linens, printed pieces, and even chairs to match their character's color scheme.
In true Elphaba fashion, Miss Ruby Bridal styled Julia in a black statement gown with a scoop neckline and puffy, off-the-shoulder sleeves. The luxurious a-line dress also featured a brocade fabric and a flowing train. Julia was accessorized with an elbow-length black tulle veil, a beaded choker necklace, and an ornate gold hairpin.
Melissa Ann Artistry + Co. brought each character to life through intentional, expressive hair and makeup designs that honored both the story and the natural beauty of each model. Elphaba's look embraced her rebellious spirit, with layered, deep green eyeshadow, dark eyeliner, mocha lips, and an airbrush finish. Her hair was naturally textured and completed by a gold, jeweled headpiece.
Model Allison wore a sparkling, princess-worthy gown with a unique, slightly upward neckline. The structured bodice featured exposed boning with lace overlay, off-the-shoulder sleeves, and a deep-V illusion cutout down the center. She was accesorized with a beaded-edge veil that mirrored the length of her royal train, a dainty crown, a matching necklace, and pearlescent drop earrings.
The Glinda-inspired hair and makeup look leaned into glow and softness. Melissa Ann Artistry + Co. styled her hair into voluminous waves, using extensions for a fairytale silhouette with a modern texture. Her ethereal makeup, with glowing pinks, soft blushes, and luminous highlights, was fresh and radiant.
Cowboy David's Bakery delivered a show-stopping trio of cakes, each echoing the essence of Elphaba, Glinda, and the Emerald City. Displayed on black pedestals of varying heights, the creations offered both artistry and drama.
The Elphaba-inspired cake leaned dark and bold, layered with sculpted florals, draped black fabric, and intricate black lace encircling the upper tiers. In contrast, Glinda's cake brought a dreamy, feminine flair with soft pink tones, iridescent textures, a floral-filled acrylic tier, pearl details, and a full floral topper.
At the front, the Emerald City design stood tall on a green base, frosted in rich shades of green and gold with golden, checkered arches to mimic the city's iconic architecture, all accented by soft pink and white blooms.
Reminisce Photography brought their own creative vision for the shoot to capture both edgy and elegant portraits and detailed shots. They played into moody lighting, colored highlights, fog, bubbles, and even fractals to add visual layers and depth to the story. The stage glow and contrasting dark interiors and natural light in the venue further added to the magic of the final gallery.
