Morgan and Tony's wedding was a true reflection of their love: heartfelt, unique, and filled with meaningful details. Their day at Halverson House featured vintage and whimsical decor, a subtle music theme, and a stunning spring color palette. From a rainy ceremony to a joyful reception, their celebration was unforgettable, captured beautifully by their dream-team photographers.
Morgan & Tony met online, and both knew they had found "the one" soon after. For Morgan, the little things proved Tony was caring, honest, and unapologetically himself, and she almost immediately knew he was the one for her. The couple bonded over common interests, such as their shared love of music, with Tony describing falling head over heels when Morgan excused herself halfway through a metal concert and came back with a beer--Wisconsin love at it's finest!
While Tony initially planned to propose while on an anniversary vacation in Hawaii, he was so excited to ask that he ended up popping the question during a quiet night at home. Morgan was shocked and, of course, said yes through happy tears. The low-key proposal was intimate and perfectly suited to the couple's love story.
The wedding planning process was easy thanks to excellent wedding coordination at their venue, Halverson House. The bride wrote, "Joi was able to suggest vendors she had personally vetted, which made the planning process a breeze. I didn't have to stress about finding a caterer, either, because the in-house food at Halverson House is so incredible!"
The couple chose the family-owned venue due to its seclusion, charming spaces, and inclusive services. Their wedding style was vintage, eclectic, whimsical, and romantic, set against a historic house, beautiful landscaping, and rustic barn.

When it came to choosing a color palette, Morgan and Tony embraced the whimsy of their spring day, choosing lavender, navy, and heather blue, with burgundy and pastel accents. Morgan wore an ethereal off-shoulder gown with delicate floral embroidery and a flowing train. Tony wore a sharp navy suit, a crisp white undershirt, and a patterned tie.

There were many custom elements to the couple's wedding day, including flower petal confetti and bar signage, but it was especially important to include a subtle music theme to the day. Instead of a guest book, Morgan's dad provided records from his collection for guests to sign. At the ceremony, flower petals were rolled in sheets of music, and a treble clef sign from Morgan's grandpa was displayed.
For couples currently planning a wedding, Morgan advises, "Get yourself a professional officiant! Finding Rev. Marcia Boyer was such a blessing. She helped guide us with writing our vows, orchestrated the flow and placement of our wedding party, and basically wrote the entire wedding ceremony. Even when it started down-pouring mid-ceremony, she didn't skip a beat. Worth every penny!!"

While the ceremony concluded inside, a little rain did not dampen the joyful mood or festivities. The rustic barn at Halverson House set the scene for the reception. In the months leading up to the wedding, Morgan thrifted over 40 vases for the tablescape. Her florist, DJ Custom Designs, used every one, exceeding the couple's expectations and enhancing the eclectic vibe of the space.
The couple found their DJ after attending another wedding, where they had danced the night away. Mike O'Dea curated the perfect playlist to keep the dance floor packed, and the couple especially appreciated his amazing stage presence and professionalism.
Morgan and Tony describe their photographer, Skyler and Vhan, as "the dream team." The couple had initial reservations about their comfort levels in front of a camera, but felt immediately at ease after their first meeting. They were especially happy with the behind-the-scenes photos and minimal staging, where the couple could feel present and stress-free, knowing their images would be beautiful.
Spring weddings, unsurprisingly, often involve a little rain, and Skyler and Vhan took advantage of the cutest umbrella photo opportunity!

As their final piece of planning advice, Morgan and Tony wrote, "At the end of the day, your wedding day is all about marrying your best friend; have fun and enjoy every moment!"
