Château in Bloom: Romantic European wedding Inspiration at The Castle Vineyard

For couples dreaming up a destination wedding right here in the Midwest, this design proves you don’t have to travel far to capture European romance. Cool pastels met bold pops of color in this European-influenced “Château in Bloom” styled shoot at The Castle Vineyard. Charmate Events led the planning and design, balancing bright colors with refined details to create a look that felt whimsically chic.

Miss Ruby Bridal provided two bridal gowns for the day. Worn at the ceremony and for couple portraits, the first dress was a modern take on the traditional basque waist ballgown. The dress featured a scoop neckline, off-the-shoulder sleeves, peekaboo lace trim, and exposed boning on the structured corset. The waistline sat slightly below the natural waist, transitioning into a soft, full skirt. A lace-trimmed veil completed the fashion statement, perfectly cohesive with the subtle detailing on the dress.

Just as the color palette included vibrant hues, Looks by Sade created a bridal look that balanced classic and bold, starting with a cut crease eyeshadow and full lashes. The bridal look also included rouged cheekbones, glowing highlights, and a soft pink lip.

For hair, Noel Jordan Beauty loosely curled the bride’s hair before pulling it back into a textured updo. Loose strands, both framing the face and pulled back, felt effortless, carefree, and romantic.

Weddings at The Castle Vineyard can be hosted indoors or out. The vineyard itself made for a beautiful outdoor ceremony backdrop, set against meadow-inspired ground florals by Flora Elements. Elements included blush anthurium with pearls, orchids, dahlias, peonies, allium, roses, blue globe thistle arrangements, red amaranthus, tropical leaves, prairie grasses, and ample greenery.

The overall color palette leaned cool, with blush, dusty blue, purple, and fuchsia, with hints of peach, burgundy, and ample greenery.

Aptly named, The Castle Vineyard in Cleveland, Wisconsin, is an exclusive wedding and working vineyard venue fit for royalty. The architecture was inspired by Tuscan vineyards, European castles, Wisconsin barns, and early churches, with the most notable features being arched windows, brick columns, and beautiful vines crawling up the sides of the building.

The bridal bouquet embodied the artistic, asymmetrical approach to florals. At the tablescape, the trend continued with a floral centerpiece that carried across the table. The centerpiece also included a dusty blue runner, candles, aloe plants, and halved grapefruits.

Table décor & props from Social Affair Rentals included nods to Paris, with Toile de Jouy, blue pattern plating, woven chargers, blue-tinted glassware, and gold cutlery. Deiftwood décor also blended into the florals at the head of the table.

A.C.E. Styling assisted with the dresses, helping coordinate the fashions and ensuring a smooth transition between scenes.

The bride’s second dress, worn at the tablescape and reception scenes, was all about understated elegance. The sleeveless, fitted, sheath gown was made of luxe jacquard fabric, appearing as floral embossing. A trendy, floor-length skinny scarf added the finishing touches.

The groom wore a tan suit from Generation Tux with a matching vest, a white undershirt, brown dress shoes, a white-and-orange patterned tie, and an orange pocket square. Flora Elements also designed wearable florals, including a colorful floral boutonniere for the groom and an elaborate floral ring for the bride.

In addition to Social Affair Rentals, All Star Rentals and Heart of Wisco Art Studio provided elements used throughout the design. Heart of Wisco Art designed custom mirror signage in the reception and at the bar.

“Château in Bloom” concluded with a champagne tower and desserts. Unordinary Omen Floristry brought a beautiful, two-tier cake, separated by a long-columned pedestal brimming with sugared fruits. The cake rounded at the top, reminiscent of European cathedral architecture.
